1 Stage, 1 City, 1 Week: Chanel Brings Together 5 NYC Dance Companies for the BAAND Together Festival

Being in Europe for the summer is undeniably chic, but nothing compares to New York City during the warm-weather season. The energy is unmatched—there’s always something to do, somewhere to explore, and a new reason to fall in love with it.

Whether you live in or are visiting NYC, one happening that deserves a spot on your calendar is the BAAND Together Dance Festival. This event brings together five of the city’s premier dance companies: Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Together, this group will showcase a series of performances through a variety of dance forms from July 28 to August 1 at the David H. Koch Theater as part of Lincoln Center’s Summer for the City series. And it’s all made possible by the one and only Chanel.

While Chanel and dance might not seem like an obvious combination, the brand actually has an enduring relationship with the art form. Among Gabrielle Chanel’s core inspirations was flexibility of movement—an influence she expressed throughout all her creations, including her collaborations with legendary choreographers during her lifetime. So, Chanel’s support and partnership with the BAAND Together Dance Festival since its inception in 2021 is very meaningful. It highlights the brand’s long-standing connection to and patronage within the world of dance, a legacy that has continued for over a century.

That said, grab a ticket, put on an elegant ballet-approved ensemble and spend an evening basking in the art of dance.
