For someone who writes about Windows for a living, I spent an embarrassingly long time on the wrong edition of it. Not catastrophically wrong — the laptop still worked, nothing exploded — but wrong in the slightly humbling way where you realize you’ve been doing something sub-optimally for years and didn’t notice. I was on Windows Home. A tech writer on Home? Shame.
