I Own 17 Pairs of Straight-Leg Jeans—These Are the 5 Styles I’m Trading Them for Ahead of Fall

As one does when it’s too hot to step outside, I recently took stock of the contents of my closet, including my denim collection, and I made a glaring observation: I accidentally purchased far too many pairs of straight-leg jeans over the past several years. It’s not that I plan on ceasing to wear them. They’re versatile and classic, but I think it’s time for some variety among my stacks of jeans. For that, I don’t have to look further than Calvin Klein.

Calvin Klein’s denim collection is filled with all of the latest denim trends as well as the classics, and its prices are surprisingly wallet-friendly. (FYI: There’s a major sale on all of its jeans happening right now.) Additionally, there are tons of washes to choose from, so it’s kind of impossible not to find what you’re looking for. Below, I’m highlighting six specific non-straight-leg denim trends that I’m zeroing in on. Scroll on to shop along with me.

Low-Rise

The It-girl denim trend of 2026 is undoubtedly low-rise jeans, and Calvin Klein’s relaxed-fitting iterations are a perfect interpretation of the trend.

Wide-Leg

Wide-leg jeans are one of the best styles to wear in the summer, when airflow is key. Plus, they’re as timeless as straight-leg jeans.

Bootcut and Flared

Bootcut and flared jeans have made a significant comeback, and it’s a style I’m sure I’ll be reaching for on repeat this fall.

Cropped

Ready or not, cropped jeans are back. Those of us who are 5’4″ and under are rejoicing.

Colored

Pink, white, tan—fashion people are breaking out of the blue-and-black jeans mold as of late, and I’m on board.
