The seasonal shift is underway, and my wardrobe is ready for a reset. In part, that means unpacking my treasured cold-weather pieces that have been stored away for the past few months, waiting for the mercury to drop so that they can return to their place of place. Alongside, there are a few gaps where great pieces should be, and with my new season intentions set clearly to elegance and timelessness, I’ve turned to H&M to add a few expensive-looking pieces to my autumn wardrobe.

During one of my daily scrolls through the new-in section of H&M, I discovered that a wave of autumn buys had arrived, and nestled between the staples was a series of standout pieces that look at least triple their actual price. Outerwear has swiftly returned as the cooler days roll in, and H&M is bringing refined detailing to affordable buys to make them appear as premium buys even when they fit comfortably into our budget. Now that it’s time to layer up, knitwear has returned, and H&M has brought back a few of its most iconic styles, like the Cashmere-Blend Jumper that sells out every year, as well as some new refined additions like the Oversized Wool Jumper currently sitting in my basket.
If you’re currently bolstering your capsule wardrobe, take a peek at the series of sleek tailoring found across the new collection. Perfectly draped trousers come in understated shades to add to the refined feel, and pretty blouses with intricate detailing are ready to be mixed and matched with jeans and skirts throughout the coming months. Whether you’re building your autumn wardrobe from scratch or simply looking for one or two new additions to make your outfits look that much more chic, you’ll want to scroll on to explore the most expensive-looking buys in the H&M autumn collection.
